1.3 Travel to and from the château is not included. The nearest airports are Bordeaux and Toulouse, with onward rail travel to Agen (approximately one hour from either airport). You are responsible for arranging and booking your own travel, and for arriving and departing at the times specified.
1.4 We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme, practitioners, or schedule where necessary (for example, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances), provided the overall character and quality of the Retreat is maintained.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1 A place is only confirmed once we have received your completed booking form, health questionnaire (see Clause 5), and the required deposit.
2.2 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of €500 is payable at the time of booking to secure your place.
2.3 Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 26 September 2026 before the Retreat start date 26 October 2026. If you book within this window of the start date, full payment is due at the time of booking.
2.4 If the balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to release your place to another guest, and the deposit will not be refunded.
2.5 Places are limited to six guests and are allocated on a first-confirmed basis (deposit received).
3. Cancellation by You
3.1 All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable) to tamsinjardinier@gmail.com
3.2 Because this is a small-group retreat with a fixed cost structure (catering, practitioner fees, and venue booked in advance for six guests), the following cancellation terms apply:
Notice given 4 weeks before the Retreat starts full Refund given. Notice given 2 weeks before the Retreat starts 50% Refund given. Less than seven days Non- refundable.
3.3 We strongly recommend you take out travel and cancellation insurance at the time of booking, to cover you in the event you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3.4 If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person, subject to our agreement and provided that person completes a booking form and health questionnaire. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange this.
4. Cancellation or Changes by Us
4.1 In the unlikely event we need to cancel the Retreat (for example, due to insufficient numbers, venue unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you either a full refund of all monies paid, or the option to transfer to a future retreat date.
4.2 We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you incur in connection with the Retreat (flights, trains, etc.) should we need to cancel or postpone. This is why we recommend appropriate insurance (Clause 3.3).
4.3 Force majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, pandemic or public health restrictions, strikes, or government action. In such cases we will work with you in good faith on rescheduling or crediting your payment toward a future retreat, but a full cash refund cannot be guaranteed where costs have already been committed to third parties (venue, practitioners, suppliers).
5. Health, Wellbeing & Suitability
5.1 The Retreat involves physical practices (yoga, pranayama, walking), bodywork (lymphatic drainage massage), and therapeutic work (Rapid Transformational Therapy / hypnotherapy), alongside a specific Ayurvedic dietary approach.
5.2 Before booking, you must complete a health questionnaire, disclosing any relevant physical or mental health conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary requirements, medications, or other matters that may affect your participation. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is accurate and complete.
5.3 You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are physically and mentally fit to take part in the activities offered. If you have any medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from surgery or injury, or have any concerns about your fitness to participate, you must consult your doctor before booking and disclose this to us.
5.4 Not a substitute for medical or mental health care. The yoga, Ayurvedic guidance, lymphatic drainage massage, and RTT/hypnotherapy sessions offered on the Retreat are complementary practices intended to support general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, psychiatric care, or psychotherapy. We are not medical doctors, and nothing said or offered during the Retreat should be taken as medical advice. If you are currently under the care of a doctor, therapist, or psychiatrist for any physical or mental health condition, please discuss your participation with them beforehand and continue that care alongside the Retreat.
5.5 We reserve the right to decline a booking, or to ask a guest to modify or refrain from a particular activity or treatment, where we reasonably believe it is not appropriate or safe for them, based on the information disclosed or observed.
5.6 You take part in all activities at your own risk. You are responsible for pacing yourself, resting when needed, and communicating with practitioners about any discomfort, limitation, or concern as it arises.
6. Liability
6.1 We take reasonable care in selecting the venue and practitioners and in the way the Retreat is run. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except where this results from our negligence or that of our practitioners.
6.2 We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the Retreat.
6.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under French or European law.
7. Accommodation & Conduct
7.1 Château de Pécile offers six individual rooms; the Retreat is for six guests and is not shared-room by default.
7.2 We ask all guests to treat the venue, staff, practitioners, and fellow guests with care and respect, and to observe the retreat's quiet hours and schedule as far as reasonably possible, in consideration of the shared, intimate nature of the experience.
7.3 We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave the Retreat, without refund, in cases of behaviour that is abusive, unsafe, or seriously disruptive to other guests, staff, or practitioners.
8. Confidentiality & Group Setting
8.1 Elements of the Retreat, particularly the RTT session and evening circles, may involve personal sharing. We ask all guests to respect the confidentiality and privacy of what is shared by others in the group, and not to discuss or disclose it outside the Retreat without consent.
9. Photography & Media
9.1 We may take photographs or video during the Retreat for use in our marketing (website, social media, newsletter). If you do not wish to be photographed or featured, please let us know in advance and we will respect this.
10. Data Protection
10.1 We collect and process personal information you provide (including health information via the questionnaire) solely to prepare for and deliver the Retreat safely, and in accordance with applicable data protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR). Health information is treated as sensitive data and is used only for the purposes of your care during the Retreat, and is not shared beyond the practitioners directly involved in your care.
10.2 We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Law)
11.1 Under EU consumer protection law, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to bookings for accommodation, catering, or leisure services provided on a specific date or period, such as this Retreat. Cancellations are therefore governed by Clause 3 above.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
