Y O G A
Yoga is not just a class. It is a way of life, a conscious path toward clarity, vitality and inner power. It provides a framework for understanding the mind, observing our patterns, and choosing where and how to direct our energy.
At its heart, Yoga teaches that everything is energy. The quality of that energy, its vibration, shapes our reality. A scattered mind or stagnant body will keep us circling in distraction and disconnection. A clear mind, calm breath and steady body create the conditions for high-vibrational energy to flow, unlocking creativity, focus, and the confidence to realise our potential.
I’ve been teaching Yoga for over 12 years through retreats, workshops and weekly classes, helping people find not only strength and ease in the body but spaciousness and direction in life. I completed my 500-hour teacher training in 2012 with the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham in Kerala, under the guidance of Swami Govindananda Saraswati. The Sivananda tradition offers a holistic approach to well-being, rooted in breathwork, movement, nourishment, positive thought and deep rest.
My 75-minute practice includes:
15 minutes of breathwork to steady the nervous system
50 minutes of asanas, including three sun salutations and three foundational postures to build strength and flexibility
10 minutes of guided relaxation to settle the mind and integrate the effects of the practice
This combination works deeply, not only on the physical body but on the subtle energy field. It helps to clear stress and emotional tension, support better sleep, ease anxiety and depression, and build the kind of strength that’s both grounded and light.
With regular practice, Yoga becomes a powerful tool for transformation. It sharpens your awareness, strengthens your will, and invites a natural rhythm into your days. Over time, you may find it brings a quiet confidence that positively influences your relationships, decisions, and the way you move through life. This isn’t about achieving the perfect pose. It’s about returning to yourself—clearing space, raising your vibration, and remembering who you truly are.
“Just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to do the practice with you. You are so knowledgeable and passionate about yoga and create sessions that leave you feeling energised and ready to start the day” Sara, Italy
SWAMI GOVINDANANDA SARASWATI
They say your teacher appears when the student is ready. I had the fortune of meeting Swami Govindananda on a trip to Kerala in 2013 and have appreciated his guidance since. A true master of energy management and delivering Yogic philosophy in an uncomplicated and practical way to apply to our contemporary Western lifestyles. He taught me the benefits of teaching and practising slowly to feel a deep sense of peace.
