Y O G A

I have been teaching yoga for over 12 years, offering retreats, workshops, and weekly classes. Having completed my 500-hour teacher training in 2012 with the ‘Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham’ in Kerala, under the guidance of Swami Govindananda Saraswati. The Sivananda tradition emphasises a holistic approach to well-being, focusing on breathwork, postures, nutrition, positive thinking, and guided relaxation.

My signature 75-minute yoga practice includes 15 minutes of breathwork, 50 minutes of asanas (featuring three sun salutations and three key poses), and concludes with guided relaxation. This steady practice is designed to release deep-held stress, balance the nervous system, and create a sense of calm for both the mind and emotions.

With regular practice, you can expect to build physical strength, encourage weight loss, improve sleep, reduce stress, and alleviate depression, fostering a positive outlook and a greater sense of well-being.

Over time, this approach helps develop willpower, deepen intuition, and bring positive changes to your relationships, time management and its simplicity encourages you to feel confident in developing your self-practice.

SWAMI GOVINDANANDA SARASWATI
They say your teacher appears when the student is ready. I had the fortune of meeting Swami Govindananda on a trip to Kerala in 2013 and have appreciated his guidance since. A true master of energy management and delivering Yogic philosophy in an uncomplicated and practical way to apply to our contemporary Western lifestyles. He taught me the benefits of teaching and practising slowly to feel a deep sense of peace.
